Joe Burbee, PGA – Director of Golf

Joe began his career at Deer Run Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio as an assistant professional in 1992 and became a PGA Member in 1995. After a few years he moved to Jack Nicklaus Sports Center in Mason, Ohio where he became Head Professional. The club was one of the first Nicklaus designs, and hosted events from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours. In 2001, Joe was named the first Head Professional at The Signature at West Neck in Virginia Beach. In 2005, he was pleased to return to his Nicklaus roots when he moved to Bay Creek Resort & Club as Head Professional and in 2008 he was named Director of Golf. Joe was chosen Merchandiser of the Year in the Ohio PGA in 2002 and won the same award in the Middle Atlantic PGA in 2007. Joe is a Certified Professional in both Golf Operations and Retail, and is currently working on PGA Master Professional Certification.

Zach Pfingst, PGA – Head Golf Professional

In 2003, Zach joined the Bay Creek team as an assistant golf professional and in June 2007, he earned PGA membership. Zach holds the course records for both the Palmer and Nicklaus Signature Courses at Bay Creek. He is a native of Virginia and an active member of the Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA. A graduate of North Greenville University, Zach is a Certified Professional in Golf Operations, Executive Management, General Management and Retail. He is currently working on certification in Instruction.

Our goal is to improve your game using proven laws, principles and preferences, technology, and practicality. Our instructors work with all types of players using simple language to explain complex swing mechanics.
