Tournaments listed here are subject to change depending on weather, scheduling, etc. Member Tournaments are mostly planned a year in advance, however some are added on short notice at times. We are hosting a few public tournaments in 2010, and we encourage all golfers to enjoy those events. Signup to receive updates.

Chapman 2 Man Tournament
Sun., March 28th, 2010
A unique format and a newcomer to the Bay Creek tournaments lineup! We invite the public to enjoy an early Spring tournament with us here at Bay Creek.

3nd Annual Bay Creek Amateur Tournament - Bay Creek's Premier Golf Event
Sat., July 31 & Sun. August 1, 2010
The premiere tournament at Bay Creek. This tournament is open to male golfers of all ages with a VSGA/USGA handicap index established at a VSGA member Club and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. The format is a 36-hole Individual Stroke Play Competition, with play on both the Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer Signature golf courses.

Rally for the Cure Pink Ball Tournament
Thurs., August 26th, 2010
A unique format on the Nicklaus for a great cause: Susan G. Komen for the Cure! Retain the Pink Ball and win! Tee times start at 9:00am. The cost is $20 + regular golf fees. Players receive a 1-year magazine subscription for their $20 donation. Registration is ongoing.

Cape Charles Tomato Festival 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Fri., September 24th, 2010
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the United Way. As part of the Cape Charles Tomato Festival weekend, we'll be hosting our 2nd Annual Cape Charles Open tournament. This is open to the public, and will be played on the Palmer Course. 12:00pm start, Captain's Choice format - more details as the tournament approaches.

Member Tournaments

Nicklaus Cup at Bay Creek, 2010 Season
The Nicklaus Cup is a season-long tournament of Member pairs' scores. Members must register by April 1, 2010 to be included in this season's tournament. Member pair matching is done by the golf staff and is posted April 2nd, also the day play begins for the 2010 Nicklaus Cup Season. Results will be posted monthly.

Spring Par 3 Tournament
Sat. March 27, 2010. Jet Start on the Nicklaus, with Lunch to follow at the Coach House Tavern. No hole will be longer than 125 yards!

Spring Member/Member Tournament & Demo Day
Sat. May 1, 2010. This annual event at Bay Creek pairs members together to compete in a fun and friendly day of golf with fellow members.

Annual Crab Ball Tournament
Sat., May 29, 2010. One player plays the Crab Ball and the score is the Crab Ball plus the one other best ball.

Ladies Invitational
Thurs. June 24, 2010. Our Ladies' League hosts lady golfers from other local clubs for a day of friendly competition at Bay Creek. This year, the tournament is on the Nicklaus course.

Member Nine-n-Dine, Glo Ball
Sat. June 26, 2010. Tonight's a full moon! Glowing golf balls and contests on the course - don't miss it!

Member Nine-n-Dine, Cheeseburger in Paradise
Sat. July 17, 2010. Featuring delicious Coach House Cheeseburgers & more for dinner. Details to follow as date approaches.

Cross Country Tournament
Sat. September 4, 2010. Play the course like never before - tee off onto the adjacent green! Details to follow as date approaches.

Annual Club Championship
*Rescheduled to Fri. & Sat. August 21-22, 2010* A members only tournament of over the course of 2 days. Day 1 is on the Palmer Course, Day 2 - the Nicklaus. Includes lunch both days for players. Who will claim the title (and bragging rights) at Bay Creek this year?

Legends Member/Guest Tournament
Fri. & Sat. September 9, 10, & 11, 2010. The Traditional Member event for Bay Creek members! Playing Palmer Friday and Nicklaus Saturday. Par 3 tournament on Thursday, September 9th.

Member Wine-n-Dine
Sat. September 25, 2010. 4:30pm Jet Start on the Palmer Course with a wine dinner following play at Coach House Tavern.

Fall Member/Member Tournament
Sat. October 16, 2010. 2-person scramble on the Nicklaus course followed by lunch & prizes.

Snowball Tournament & Member Balloon Sale
Sat. December 4, 2010. Play in the annual tournament going on right before the Balloon Sale in the golf shop where Members burst a balloon with a surprise discount inside for each item they purchase!
