The Sandbox is a vibrant, charming, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach-style cottage home. During your stay, you will be greeted by a relaxed atmosphere, breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay, and swoon-worthy sunsets!
This home sleeps 8 comfortably. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed and a private bathroom. The first guest bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has two twins.. The second bathroom is located in the hall. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the sunroom.
The layout is spacious, with an open living room area and kitchen. The living room has a nice sized television, and cozy fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking necessities, there is even a "seafood station" in the middle, which is perfect for shucking oysters or picking crabs (Cape Charles has the best!).
The sunroom leads out to a beautiful back porch and backyard area, the ideal location to soak up the views.
This property has a convenient outside shower, making cleaning up after the beach or a pool swim much easier!
The private beach is a smooth 5-minute walk from The Sandbox, so is the Beach Club and state of the art fitness center. Don't forget to take a trip into the town of Cape Charles to explore the public beach and shops. Ask us about renting a golf cart to make your commute more easy going!

Sandbox

The Sandbox home is well equip for a lovely vacation stay. Whether you like to cook or not, all the tools are there. We even did an oyster roast on the back patio with local harvested oysters which was heavenly. The home has 3 bedrooms that comfortable accommodates a small family plus the hideaway bed if one needs it. Great location to walk to the beach for sunsets. Easy 1/4 mile to the golf course. With friendly local families and a wonderful environment, one cannot go wrong with this lovely home. Only negative comment, there is always one, is the fans need adjustment to keep them quiet. Reported this and the management said they were on it.

Home was comfortable and for those who like to cook, the kitchen was well stocked above the ordinary vacation rental. Decor nice, furniture and beds comfortable. Numerous bikes and beach chairs plus other beach toys to use. Noted kitchen faucet needs some maintenance to keep it from running. Master bedroom could use some new pillows, ones there quite old. Otherwise very enjoyable time. Would stay again.

Nice!
Lovely cottage that worked well for a couple with 3 school aged kids. Easy access to Bay Creek’s beach and pool. Quiet There is a lot of construction work nearby that was thankfully on pause during the Labor Day weekend. Well stocked storage room with lots of beach and outdoor gear and an extension cord for charging your golf cart rental.

A Perfect Week !

Our family enjoyed our weeks stay. The house was well equipped ! We even had a few extra surprises, bikes in the garage to use on the trail. My children had fun using the pool and the crafts.

Peaceful and Relaxing
The house was very clean and had a great layout. The location is great and you can easily walk to the beach, although we decided to rent a golf cart and drove down to the beach most days. The golf cart made getting around all of Bay Creek easy and fun. I'd recommend the house/Bay Creek to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation. It was perfect for young kids. The only negative is that the outdoor table and chairs are very old and were not usable.

We loved our stay at The Sandbox. Excellent location - walked to beach and biked through the community. Plenty of room for our family. Great furnishings and lots of extras that made it feel like home. Did not even need to bring all the Thanksgiving cooking supplies! Love Cape Charles and plan to return!!

The Sandbox at Seaside Village

The Sandbox was as described. Decor, cleanliness & amenities were EXCELLENT. It would have been very helpful to know that the fridge doesn’t make ice(especially in the summer at the beach) and no ice trays. Therefore, we had to go out and buy ice, which wasn’t convenient. The only other issue was that the outdoor chairs are falling apart, so trying to eat outside is really not practical. A great little cottage!

Delightful in every way!

Even better than expected! My wife and I ended up here after we couldn't find hotel openings. It was so great to have more space than a hotel room, and it was in great condition. Comfortable bed etc. It was so peaceful; a few minute walk to a lovely beach for sunset viewing. Plenty of quiet roads to walk or ride bike, and could easily bike into town.

Wide-open across the Bay!

We stayed for a golf tournament this past weekend and we had a great time. The place isn't necessarily big, but it's in a great location. The master bath has a beautiful shower with very nice water pressure. The beds could've been a little more comfortable, but overall, not too bad. The water could've also been hotter, but still not a deal breaker. Lastly, they have a washer and dryer and Keurig. Pretty nice amenities. The one thing I would change is the TV Reception. It's Terrible!!!

Bliss at Baycreek

This was our third visit to the resort and it just gets better and better! We stayed for thanksgiving at The Sandbox which was perfectly placed, a stones throw from the beach. The home was beautiful furnished and fully equipped. We enjoyed the festivities in town and s’mores on the beach!

A Wonderful Vacation
The " Sandbox" was perfect for the two of us, it was clean, comfortable and decorated nicely! Bay Creek development was also beautiful with outstanding landscaping. The town of Cape Charles as always is a fun place to shop and eat. But the best part of Bay Creek was the private beach on the Chesapeake Bay - BEAUTIFUL !!!!

Great home in Bayside Village!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandbox in Bayside Village in Bay Creek! the house is comfortable with three bedrooms and lots of little touches that make it feel like home. It is walking distance to the private beach and the beach club which our family of four loved. The house is well laid out and well stocked with amenities that we appreciated. We rode bikes, flew kites and took long walks on the beach—perfect vacation in Cape Charles. The house is a quick bike/car ride into town. Would definitely recommend or stay here again!
